Credits and Foreign Recognitions
Please direct all questions regarding credit transfer and advance credit transfer to the WiSo-Anrechnungszentrum.
For your information:
We recommend that you apply to the WiSo Credit Transfer Center for credit transfer for courses taken abroad in the modules "Selected Topics in Corporate Development (Current Issues in Corporate Management, Organization and Human Resources)" (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) and "Aspects of International Business" (M.Sc.), as credit transfer is generally possible without any problems in these modules. Equivalence in content with Cologne courses is not required (however, there should be a general reference to the topic "Corporate Development").
For all other modules that belong to the area of Corporate Development, foreign study achievements will only be credited after the content equivalence has been checked. A course taken abroad can only be credited here if it covers at least two thirds of the content of the corresponding course in Cologne. This must be proven to the credit center, for example, by means of a syllabus. If you have any questions regarding the selection of courses during your semester abroad, you can also contact the ZIB, who will be happy to advise you on many questions.
In general, the credits of the study abroad must correspond to the credits of the respective Cologne module in order to be credited.
All (preliminary) applications for credit transfer must be submitted by students of the faculty via the homepage of the Center. Please inform yourself there about the procedure and necessary documents. Only applications submitted via the Center for Credit Transfer can be accepted.
It is advisable to inform yourself about the possibilities of credit transfer before you start your stay abroad.
