Work and Research Interests
Dr. Dogan’s current research is mostly focused on group behavior. She is interested in the effect of group identity, mob formation, dilution of morality via groups, and group decision-making.
Curriculum Vitae
Gönül Dogan is a Junior Professor of Corporate Development and Business Ethics at the University of Cologne since May 2015. She has a B. Sc. In Industrial Engineering, and MA in Economics from Bilkent University in Ankara. Dr. Dogan completed her doctoral studies with her dissertation on social networks and behavioral economics and received her Ph.D. from Tilburg University in 2009. Before joining the seminar for Business Ethics and Corporate Development at the University of Cologne, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam.
Her work has been published in academic journals such as Nature Human Behavior, Experimental Economics, and Games and Economic Behavior.
